They provide information and help understand the legal system process. These sessions can help support the woman in her decision-making about filing a police report or not;<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This service also provides support for women through the various stages of legal proceedings (police report, court support, etc.).<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Medical Support<\/strong><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When there is a sexual assault, the victim can, if she wishes, go to the Designated Centres in the region (Baie-St-Paul hospital and La Malbaie hospital). The professionals on site are trained to support victims through their processes and to conduct a medicolegal intervention. Charlevoix\u2019s CALACS counsellor can support the victim through the processes, if needed.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The medicolegal kit is offered to any person who is a victim of recent sexual assault, 5 days or less, regardless of whether they want to file a police report or not.
