Through the advocacy and rights defence area, CALACS de Charlevoix initiates and participates in actions denouncing violence against women and other feminist or community mobilizations, demanding respect for their rights and promoting equal relationships. Through this area, we also wish to encourage the involvement of activists within the organization.

For example, we are involved in the following events:

• Day of Action Against Sexual Violence Against Women (JACVSFF);
• The 12 Days of Action for the Elimination of Violence Against Women;
• International Women’s Day;
• Crime Victims and Survivors Week;
• World March of Women;
• Writing articles and open letters in various newspapers;
• Involvement in the “Commit to Community” campaign (ou: “Engagez-vous pour le communautaire” campaign);
• Signing petitions, participating in demonstrations, media appearances;
• Etc.
